Every time I create a New Document and start editing Width/Height/Bleed in Illustrator, it resets to previously present number in the field.
Example: you start a new document, default values that pop up are 290 x 360 mm, no bleed. You type in new values of 210 x 280 mm + 5mm bleed, and at random point in time it reverts to 290 x 360 + no bleed, you retype 210, 280 ... it reverts again. Happened up to 4 times during one document creation. Sometimes it even created a document with wrong/previous measurements while displaying right numbers in New Document window. (probably reverted a millisecond before Create button pressed). I didn't test other boxes because all my documents use millimeters as units, CMYK Color, 300 dpi and Default preview mode. This issue caused me to do my work over several times as final mesurements of artwork didn't match the required size and I didn't spot the wrong measurements from the start.
Photoshop and InDesign New Document creation windows work fine. I am using Creative Cloud latest program versions.

Hello @Valentin25785220zp36,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I tried replicating this behavior on my end but could not. Would you mind sharing more details, like the OS/Illustrator version, and a screen recording of your workflow, so I can better assist you?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I have experienced the exact same thing with Adobe Illustrator every single time I try start a new document and its driving me crazy!
You literally have a few seconds to create your page and hit create before it jumps back to what it was.
For instance if the last job was a sticker 100 x 100mm, a new document starts with that, I now want to do a business cards 90x 50 mm, while I"m still going to the bleed area to set my 3mm, the measurements jump back (literally) reverting back to what it was when I started at 100 x 100, which you know you could then open artboard and change the size again, very annoying but possible.
What is even more frustrating is if the new document starts in picas, and you change to millimetres and the size you want, before you even hit create, the flipping thing jumps back to picas.. and as you say if you did not notice, your artboard is all wrong and when you go to edit the artboard it is in picas which you cant just change to millimetres now, becuase if you go to settings then it says its in millimetres and everything else in points.
I too use latest Adobe subscription with 2025 and it is really annoying me, please Adobe fix this problem with Ilustrator. Indesign doesnt have this problem.

@Valentin25785220zp36 @MMP_Tanya I have tried your 210 x 280 mm with 5mm bleeds and I had no issue at all. For that matter, I created a video showing no issues. What you could do, which is shown in the video is make and save a preset with your choice of sizes. This way, you can go to the New Files - Saved - Select your preset size

Ditto. Same thing with me ... and it happens on multiple computers; on all Adobe programs. It would be nice to see this fixed.

Here is a video sample of what it does. I try to create a new file, usually in Illustrator or InDesign, and while I'm making the changes (such as change from picas to inches), after a few seconds it reverts back to the original settings. This video shows it happening when I tried it in InDesign. It doesn't happen 100% of the time but seems to happen more times than not.

I am having the same issue. It is annoying to have to keep entering the same information 3 or 4 times before it stops resetting itself. I get as far as hitting tab about 2 times to enter the Height and it resets the Width.

I have the same issue with all my systems and all Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign programs. Latest versions. It started with Photoshop on my side as well and went further to the other two.

The same issue has been happening with my Adobe programs as well. I believe it's been going on for over a year ... I just live with it but I'd love to see it fixed.

I had exactly the same issue since updating to 28.7.1 and this was obviously a bug - I have just updated to 28.7.2 and the issue seems to have resolved.

Yes i am having the same issue. It's been a few weeks now i have noticed it. The work around I have been using is just hitting tab and it resets after cycling it about 3 or 4 times. I was hoping for an Bug Update fix recently but in the past releases there hasn't been any change.
