Question

None of my perspective tools are working

I am new to using some of the perspective tools in Illustrator. I have current CC version.

If I try to use the perspective selection tool, it will not move the selected layer over to the grid.

If I try to use the free transform tool, it won't adjust the layer at all.

I am stumped on what I am doing wrong.  The layer is not locked and is a vector graphic. The grid is not locked either.  Any help would be gratefully accepted.  I even reset my workspace hoping that might do it, but to no avail.

I figured it out.  I had to expand the graphic before I added the perspective grid.  I knew I was forgetting something, as I had no problem using the grid with shapes.

Thank goodness.

This first screenshot when the perspective selection tool is selected.  If I try to drag the paw up to the left side of the grid, it won't move.

The second screenshot is when I am trying to use the free transform tool.  As soon as I let go of the mouse, there is no change to the graphic.

Hope this helps.
