Objects not well defined (borders)

Since 2 months, when I open an eps image bought somewhere, the object are not well defined. Same problem if I create a document and for example I add a text object and increase the size of the font (any fonts): the text borders are not defined. Why?? What is changed? I attached 2 images...

Try turning off GPU acceleration using the Rocket icon in the Control panel or in Preferences.

There have been problems with getting AI to work properly with all the available graphic cards.
