Offset path shortcut inexistent

Hi all !

In this latest update the shortcut option for the offset path ins no longer listed.

Is this a bug or meant to be ? In that case what's the shortcut for that tool ?

I don't remember there being one in the default set. You can set your own under Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts.

Thanks for your answer. I've done that, as i use a speccific key for it for years. But the thing is that it is not listed on the edit shortcuts...

It should be there. In that case I would posit 'bug'. Try renaming your preferences folder and see if it reappears.

This happened to me a while back, I cant seem to solve it, I even tried to make it a action but i cant stop the recording when I get to the offset size.

On win10 AI 26.5 the offset path shortcut is there. Can anyone on Mac check, I only have PCs by me at the moment.

Alternatively, you can create an action. Use insert menu item while recording the action, and you might like the button mode.

Did you ever find a solution? Many of my custom keyboard shortcuts have dissapeared and they are not available to chose from in the Keyboard Shortcuts menu like they used to. I had set a custom one for Compound Path, but it's not there anymore.

I have this problem to but the shortcut is have been defulted to ctr+F4 which is not ideal to say the least

try resetting your preferences, I'm on Windows 11, Illustrator v30.0 and everything seems to be ok. I don't have Ctrl+F4 assigned automatically.

Thanks for sharing your updates here. Based on what the expert mentioned in the latest reply, could you please try resetting your Illustrator preferences and then check if Offset Path and Compound Path appear again in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts and work as expected? If they don't show up, please also try reassigning the shortcuts and see if they stay in place.

If the issue still comes back, let me know, and we can take this forward.
