i hope message finds everyone in high spirits, I am working on the Ai and making some designs on a single artboard, lets say I am working on Artboard 1 (1st artboard) , after I had done everything mistakenly artboard 2 copy ( 2nd artboard) overlayed on Artboard 1 (1st artboard) , so when I moving or try to delete 2nd artboard so the content's of the 1st one artboard is also moving or deleting,
i can't undo it for some reason, Please tell me the solution so I get deleted 2nd one artboard without deleting the content of 1st one artboard
What happens if you select the artboard in the Artboards panel and just click the trashcan?
Hi there, Thanks for your help
I tried it just now, Only the artboard is deleted, not the artwork, I want to delete both of them
Artboard and art are independent from each other, so no, there's no way.
You could first delete the artwork from all pages, and then choose "delete empty artboards" from the flyout menu in artboard panel.
I don't get your answer, may be you're saying that I should have delete al the artwork from the artboard then I chose to delete the empty artboard?
i don't want to lose my artwork from the original artboard
check out the attached image, I want to delete the selected artboard if I do so, it is also deleting my artwork from the artboard that's below from it......
You cannot do that automatically.
You have to identify and then delete the artwork and you also have to delete the artboard.
It's like to redesign all the artwork once again, it'll take lots of time, Let me know if there's any shortcut??
how can some one delete single lines one by one??
Next time you do this kind of stuff you might want to organize your objects by grouping them or sorting them in layers. There are methods to select objects by their fill or stroke color, but when they are looking the same, then this won't help.
