OUT OF GPU MEMORY

I recently started using the online Adobe Illustrator and within a few months am "out of GPU Memory" everytime I open a file.  I've combed thru these community boards, and am still not sure what to do.

2 questions I hope someone can help me with

1) Is it a big difference if I just turn off the GPU option?

2) How do I go about getting Upgrading my GPU if I decide/need to ??

Thank you!

@jammomc

I've moved your post from Creative Cloud Desktop to the Illustrator forum for you where the Experts there will be better able to assist.

See the GPU section in System Requirments to see if that helps:

The web version runs in Chrome. The browser Chrome is not known for being overly careful with its use of RAM.

Do you leave your computer running for months? Or how do you mean that in a few months you are out of RAM?

Well, I unclicked the GPU option in the settings menu and haven't had an issue so far.
