I want the live paint bucket tool to work like older paint bucket tool. Is that possible?
With the older paint bucket, I could color any shape by clicking over it with the paint bucket, but now, with the live paint bucket, any shape I to color, or change it's color, has to be selected. It was so simple and easy to use. I don't care if I can color the areas within overlapping shapes, who cares!
I use an older version of Photoshop from 2020 that has the same paint bucket I want now.
So, are you (adobe) telling me your new, improved, better live paint bucket tool, is not capable of the simple action of adding color to unselected shapes?
Can someone help me, I must be missing something.
Thank you in advance.

Photoshop≠Illustrator.
In Illustrator you can use the live paint bucket on unselected objects after those objects have been converted to a live paint group.

The Eyedropper can apply color to unselected objects when the Alt key is pressed.
