palette positions not conserved

Well I guess this is a "performance" issue. Security protocol requires that I re-login if I've been inactive for 15+ minutes. When I do, Illustrator and PS sometimes remember palette positions, but more often not: they're clustered on top of each other straddling the imac screen and the aux monitor. My work requires frequent absence from the desk so I'm having to waste time repositining the palettes several times a day in both AI and PS. This never happened before I got my current 2019 5k 27 inch imac running 10.15.6

Set up your work space as you like. Save the workspace with your name. When you come back if it is messed up use Workspace>Reset. Should work as you want.
