Panneau motif illustrator

Bonjour,
Les motifs que je créé dans illustrator ne s'enregistrent pas dans le panneau nuancier. 
Je peux utiliser le motif sur la page où il a été créé (image 1) mais dès que je créé un nouveau document, les motifs n'apparaissent plus.

Une idée de ce que je fais mal ?

      Patterns only live in the document they have been created in. You can load that document as a swatch library and then you can use the pattern.

      If you want to have it in every new document, you'll need to create a new document profile that contains the pattern.  The process is the same as in here: https://youtu.be/5kcrHjSbN5k

        Merci beaucoup Monika d'avoir pris l etemps de me répondre. 
        Je redoutais qu'effectivement on ne puisse pas enregistrer des motifs aussi simplement que les symboles.

        J'essaierai votre tuto. Merci encore

        C'est effectivement très peu ergonomique et très difficile de trouver le forum d'aide.
