Pass dialog with JavaScript

Hi,

I want to open a PDF using JavaScript and edit.

But, the following dialog blocks me to open the file.

Can I select one of the options with JavaScript?

This document has been modified outside of Adobe Illustrator.

How do you want to proceed?

- Discard changes, preserving Illustrator editing capabilities

- Keep changes, reducing Illustrator editing capabilities

Thanks,

are you on the latest illustrator. i vaguely remember this dialog was a bug on one version. but i don't see anything in the documentation to bypass it.

Thank you for the advise.

I'll try this again using older version of Illustrator.

Why are you editing outside Illustrator? It seems you may be setting up for a failure, and you really need to resolve the CAUSE of the message.

My client create PDF using Illustrator but they also edit the PDF using Enfocus PitStop.

There might be "piece information" of Illustrator in the PDF even after PitStop.

I guess that this is the reason why the Illustrator asks me if I want to discard the changes by PitStop.

But, I always want to discard the "piece information" instead.

So, I wanted to know if my JavaScript can pass this dialog or not.

Thanks,
