Can I password protect files on Illustrator so that other people on my account cannot view them without a password?

Note too that Adobe accounts are not to be shared with other people. Not never, not even if a single computer is used by shared shifts.

If you are using it on a shared computer, you need to sign out from CC to be sure no other person can use Illustrator. That said, of course they can still take copies of any file and move it to another computer and open it.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I am afraid this is not possible as of now. You may try the suggestion shared by @Kurt Gold. Also, I would suggest if you could also post it here (https://illustrator.uservoice.com). This way, you will keep getting all the updates related to this feature request, and other users can also upvote, which would help us prioritize. This is the best way of communicating with the Engineering and Product teams regarding issues and suggestions so they can be implemented in future releases.

Regards,

You can password protect a .pdf file (possibly with Illustrator Editing Capabilities turned on).

You can compress an .ai file as .zip and protect that .zip with a password.

On Mac OS you can also create a passwort protected .dmg file that contains the Illustrator file.

There are some other ways as well.
