Path disappears when moving individual anchor points or handle

Hi all, I'm using the most recent update 24.2.3

So, when I draw a path and try to adjust a single anchor point the rest of the path disappears. Any solution? I have attached screenshots to make it a little clearer what the problem is.

Thanks 🙂

You will only see the part that is being edited when you edit a no fill/stroke path.

Give it a stroke color t o see the rest or switch to Outline View.

I only turned the fill off to demonstrate what the problem was, it still does the same thing when filled. It never used to do this.

Try turning off GPU Performance in Illustrator preferences.

" It never used to do this."

As far as I can see it was always like that.

Give it a stroke color to see the rest of the object or switch to Outline View.

You might want to check your memory. This is Illustrator CS6. GPU acceleration did not exist.

and niether did the problem. Thanks for illustrating my point.

You might want to compare your second screenshot to my video: it looks exactly the same.

The full path in my video only appears after applying a stroke to it.

I started with illustrator 88. Dont go quoting adobe history to me. I lived it.

Ahhh, now I see what you mean. The problem really didn't exist back in Illustrator 88, because you had to do all editing in outline mode.

Not helpful at all. You have not comprehended the post corrrectly. Its has never done that before. Makes editing extremly hit and miss. If illo doesnt fix this, its time as a proessional drawing app is over.

By @Leepar

Nothing changed since 2020. You will only see the part that is being edited when you edit a no fill/stroke path.

Turning off GPU Performance does not help.
