Path Follow Constraints Illustrator 2025

First time posting so bear with me. I noticed after updating my AI that I can no longer move an anchor point and contrain it to the path angle or direction . For example when I'm trying to extend a path line, it usually locks on and snaps to "line ext" or something along the lines. It this a bug with the new version or something that thy made an option to tick on or off? I have smart guides on (Command + U), but it doesn't lock on. Is anyone else having this issue?

I am also having this issue! An essential feature of illustrator. Has this setting moved away from smart guides?

I am sorry to hear about your experience. Our team has tried fixing this in the latest Illustrator Pre-Release 29.0.1.192. Would you mind installing it to check if it helps resolve the problem?
