This is a screenshot of what im trying to get my illustrator do when i grab a anchor point and move it. It keeps the actual shape where is and the only thing that moves in the anchor point and path and gives you a preview of where the shape is going. Currently that does not show up and the whole shape moves! HELP ME PLEASE

Hi, i'm not sure to correctly understand what you want !

Do you need to make a peak or a dish? If you want to move the points you must select the 2 points at the bottom and you can move the whole thing. The shorcut for the tool is A. Blanc the pont is not selected full colored the point is selected, use shift to select more than 1.

Brock,

If you wish to move a single Anchor Point with the Direct Selection Tool, remember to first deselect the path (click an empty spot on the Artboard), then ClickDrag with the Direct Selection Tool.

Think you might be having this problem. Try hitting command H if you're on a mac or control H if on a PC. https://youtu.be/BdQs1rKaUjY
