Pathfinder not working at all

Last week, all Pathfinder operations suddenly stopped working for me. No matter which operation I attempt, I get the "Filter produced no results. Please select two overlapping paths." message. Even when trying to unite the simplest of shapes, nothing works.

Checkout  the file. Sometime you will need to copy and paste it to another file and save.

Make sure you use the Pathfinder Panel.

I had a smilar issue, resolved it by going into my layers panel and making sure nothing was in a group. (ungroup shortcut wasn't doing it!)

This was the case. I copied everything into a new document and the problem went away. Thanks!

Do you use the pathfinder panel? Or the effects? In most cases you will need the panel.

You might possibly have two points overlapping one another on your shape. Try to see if that is the case, then use your pen tool to delete them. Finally, join the points of the shape before applying pathfinder operation.
