This one is really annoying, keen to know if others out there experience the same thing. Using Pathfinder Outline tool to cut lines where the two pink dots are
Instead of cutting just on the two pink dots it throws in an extra line underneath, why does the extra line appear? Does this happen to you?

Not so hard to clean this one up but it can really mess up artwork, keen for any answers thank you!
Is that path filled?

Ah...Having no fill seems to make a difference, have you had this before?

No. I just know that fills matter to pathfinders.

Might it be easier to just select the area you are interested in, and drag over those extra lines
using the Pathfinder Tool with Alt key (Option) held down, to delete them?

Thanks Ray....Seems having no fill gives a better cut so theres no need to clean anything up

I did not explain very well, I meant use shape builder initially instead of pathfinder.
Anyway good you sorted it out.
