paths and lines are breaking off and not consistent when zooming in and out

Hi. I'm frustrated and going crazy. when drawing a logo or a shape with path tool (generally lines and etc) in Illustrator, zooming in n out the lines start to break off and disappear sometimes. can someone tell me why this happens and how I can fix it? My computer is a 2017 MacBook Pro. not sure if it has anything to do with the issue or not?!
