Pattern brush panel won't open

Steps to recreate:

1. I have vector shape and drop it in the brushes.

2. I choose "Pattern brush" and click OK.

Now typically the Pattern brush options should open, but I get nothing. 

Nothing happens. Why isn't the panel appearing?

Which version and system is it?

Does it work with a simple rectangle?

Did you already reboot the system?

It was a glitch. I just needed to restart.
