Pattern Swatches

Question

I am trying to save pattern swatches so that I can use them in other files, however, after I save them and try to reopen them in another document I get this error:

"Illustrator could partially read this file. We recovered as much of the file as possible, but some content might be missing. Open to view the recovered file."

I have tried saving them as ASE and AI, tried saving in various different locations, but nothing I do seems to work.

So what are you doing? Saving a swatch library via the swatches panel menu?

Where are you trying to save? I f not on the local harddisk, please try that first.

ALso: if the swatches are already saved in an AI file, what you can do is create a new file and then in the swatches panel go to Load Library and just open the AI file with the swatch in it.
