PEN PRESSURE IN ILLUSTRATOR CC 2017 NOT WORKING?

I am a newby to Illustrator so I decided to follow a tutorial on tracing using the calligraphic brush option. Everything was falling into place until I reached the step to choose pressure on the brush option. The only options it gave me to select is fixed and random options. I did some research online and found this has been an ongoing problem? I tried all the internet tricks like uninstall then reinstall illustrator,changing my preferences none of those worked at all? Anyone else have this problem? How did you solve it? Any insight would be great! Thanks in advance.

Sometimes works for pen pressure problems,

You might try go to wacom website and download a free driver from there , install on your system,and restart

the idea is to try and wake up the pen pressure feature  in illustrator, from  which  your  non wacom device can then benefit
