Pen tool problem [was Re: Should I Use Adobe Illustrator]

excuse me can i ask a question in this forum.. As i dont see how to make a post but reply is visible. So this is my only way to reach out, adobe has a long wait time on call. But my question is when i am using illustrator how do i get the blue line to stop dragging behind when i am using pen tool. you know the anchor line? i right click and dont see a deselect option or anything. can someone help. its like i cant got to draw a new line everything is connected because of this.

    thanks for answering.. now i just have one more question ive run across another problem.. Im doing cartoon work in adobe illustrator and when im looking at the art in AI it looks amazing... crisp and clear.. but once i export it and open it up again in Photoshop it is very pixelated.. Looks terrible... i zoom in on the image so many pixels are blurry.. ive tried save for web as well as export as.. and it still looks terrible what could be the issue.

    Photoshop export is always in pixels.

    To decrease the visability, increase the resolution on export.

    Turn off the rubber band option in the preferences.

    I had this same problem thanks for the quick fix
