Permanently disable hyphenation for all future text boxes

I completely understand your frustration with this issue regarding hyphenation in your text boxes. Since the February 2024 release (version 28.3 and newer), hyphenation has no longer been enabled by default for new documents. However, if you had it enabled in an existing document, Illustrator will continue to respect that setting when you copy and paste text.

To permanently turn off hyphenation for future text boxes, check your paragraph styles and ensure that hyphenation is turned off there. That way, any new text boxes you create will inherit that setting.
