Hi,

Victor,

In addition to what Ton said, (remember to have the object deselected to start with) I usually find it easier to Direct Select the segment(s) rather than the Anchor Points, ShiftClicking the/each segment to select them all together, then copy, then paste and join if more than one; once the first segment is selected, the remaining desired segments are revealed by their Anchor Points.

In some easy cases, if there is nothing behind the object or anything that may be behind is locked or hidden, you can also ShiftClickDrag across the segment(s, only including the Anchor Points between them).

Edit: Hi Ton. Full sun, cool as in mid spring, harvest of hay.

Hallo @Victor27737748g8a9

Eventuell könntest du uns auch etwas detaillierter beschreiben, was du vorhast.

The Direct Selection tool can be used to select individual points.

When copied, make sure that in the Layers menu Paste Remembers Layers is turned off.

Click the layer name of the layer you want to paste on and select Paste in Place.
