Photoshop & Illustrator Won't Uninstall!

Community Beginner ,
Oct 24, 2017 Oct 24, 2017

I recently noticed that both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop wouldn't open. I'd click on them, they'd show up on my task manager, and then completely disappear without opening. I've tried uninstalling but every single time I keep getting the "Uninstall Failed" error. I've gone to hell and back just trying to figure out whats going on. I've done all the things it recommends (rebooting, exiting all applications, antiviruses, firewall softwares, etc...) and I keep getting this message and It's really making me mad. I've even tried uninstalling in safe mode, which didn't work. I tried with Revo Uninstaller, and it still shows up in my list of installed programs, and running it with admin privelages and its not working. Please help!

Thanks

Thanks, but I managed to fix the problem by reinstalling both applications, then uninstalling them from programs and applications in windows 10. Thanks anyway

There are two Uninstaller apps provided by Adobe. One is in the application folder and the other is in the Creative Cloud Desktop app (see screen shot):

The one that is provided with the Desktop app is the one that is currently recommended. It is accessed through the pull-down menu to the right of the app that you want to uninstall. If you've been using the other Uninstaller then I would recommend using this one.

Hi Sam Richards,

In addition to steps suggested by Bill, you may also try to Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

Srishti
