When I transfer an image that I use in Illustrator to another file, the image does not appear. Also, images in other illustrator files do not open.

When you link an image in Illustrator and then move that image from where it originally was on your computer, Illustrator can't find it. The pop-up is asking you to re-establish or re-find that path to the images. It is always a good idea to put images in a folder and save the AI file with it so that if you move one on your computer, they move together. Hope that makes sense and resolves your problem.

Thank you so much. I was able to solve the problem by doing as you said. But when I open the AI file that my friend sent from WhatsApp, such an error occurs. What can I do for it?

Ask your friend for the file.

Or, open your AI file in Photoshop, go to the tab "Images" and load the image in Photoshop and then save it from there and relink it in Illustrator.

"transfer" - what do you mean by that - Paste? Import? Or do you mean you physically move the file from one directory/folder to another?

If you are doing the latter, or your original image you are pasting is on a network or external drive, then you'll get this message as Illy doesn't like working across networks - the path to the image should be fixed (not exposed to network foibles) - it should ideally be on you computers drive.

Or, when you get that message, just re-locate the file...

Can you please tell us what exactly you are doing step by step and at which step the error appears?

Also: where are those files located?

Does it affect all files?

For example, I save a few images I found from google images to the desktop. When my desktop is very full, I open a new folder on the desktop. When I put it in this folder, the photos in illustrator do not open and it gives an error in this way.
