Pixelated Drop Shadow

Hi,

Creating a drop shadow off of regular text, but the drop shadow comes out very "pixelated" and not smooth at all.

The view mode is not in pixel preview or anything.

Took a screenshot of the screen.

Anyone have a clue why it's like this?

Have you tried increasing your Effect>Document Raster Effect Settings?

And it is still alive here at the end of 2021. I encountered this issue on my work computer and was going to un and reinstall Illustrator to fix it. I will check that out when I log on to it again.
