Pixelated Drop Shadow

Hi,

Creating a drop shadow off of regular text, but the drop shadow comes out very "pixelated" and not smooth at all.

The view mode is not in pixel preview or anything.

Took a screenshot of the screen.

Anyone have a clue why it's like this?

Thanks Jacob, I was too lazy to search for the first course in learning illustrator, but in the second course I came up again with drop shadow class and I finally searched it overcoming laziness and in the first click I got my answered, thanks again

Hello Jacob! What do you mean by increasing the Document Raster Effects Settings? the Resolution or the "Add: 36 px Around Object"? Thanks in advance!

And it is still alive here at the end of 2021. I encountered this issue on my work computer and was going to un and reinstall Illustrator to fix it. I will check that out when I log on to it again.
