placcing the artboad at 0,0 or is it already at 0,0 -- how to know.

I may or may not be using the right terminology but here goes.

I'm new at Illustrator but have learned a lot thanks to this forum. My instructions are to place the art board in the upper left corner at 0,0.

So my question is how do I check to see if it is already at 0,0 and if it is not, how do I place the artboard at 0,0 (upper left corner, I think?)?

Use the rulers (Cmd or Ctrl R) and Double Click at the intersection on the upper left. This will position the zero point at the upper left.
