I placed an image in illustrator and the bouding box is a lot larger than the image. I tried place an image in a new file and then copy/paste into my file, which works but then it changes in size again.

Hi Jacob. There's nothing. The photoshop file is to size and when placing in illustrator the image I'd a lot smaller than the bounding box

are you re-linking a previously placed image?

this usually happens when one places an image with Preserve File Dimensions Options. Then one relinks another image as shown below. It looks like your sample.

Liz,

Are you sure there is nothing up there in the top right corner or elsewhere?

You can deselect and ClickDrag over the seemingly empty parts, or look in the Layers panel, or in the Appearance panel, or in Outline View, for clues.

Does a computer reboot solve this?

Which version and system?

What kind of image?

What kind of Illustrator file? Large canvas?
