Placed image is off colour

Placed an image onto my artboard but image turns out like this.

Have never experienced this with my CS before, the problem only started when I switch to CC.

Anyone able to help?

Try making a new Doc and copy and paste it.

what is the image? where did it come from and how was it generated?

Does not look like it is placed, but opened in Illustrator.

Try placing in a new document.

You can also try to open it in Photoshop and if that looks right, resave it.
