Png export is duller in color than jpg

Months ago when Illustrator updated I kept getting a recurring error message that my working space color profile and my document color profile were not the same. No matter how many setting I dug into, it always seemed that they were the same. One day I stopped getting error messages. To this day though, all my png exports are duller than my jpg exports, and I'm wildly confused lol. Maybe I hit a button awhile back, I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Illustrator doesn't embed color profiles in PNG files. WHen you open the PNG in Photoshop and embed the profile in it that you used in Illustrator (do not convert to profile), does that help?

Sorry for the incredibly late reply. You were 100 percent right btw. Assigning the color profile works in photoshop just great! But, i'm super confused as to why Illustrator can't embed color profiles to PNG's... Has that always been the case?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
