Hi all,

Recently, I have imported the png images into illustrators. initially it looks like below (normal)

But after i save the file as in .ai format with option below

and I re-open the that file.

It become like image below,

I have tested lots of png images and I relized that it is not because of the file, which is imported.

Do you have any idea about this?

Thank you so much for your kind help.

with best regards,

Doyoun Kim

Hi @DoyounKim,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused by this issue. As Doug said, we have addressed the issue in v27.0.1.

However, to resolve the issue in the existing files, you will need to update to v27.0.1. Then relink all the images.

Let us know if the issue persists after doing this.

Thanks,

Anshul Saini

There was an issue where the color mode went to indexed for exporting pngs with a corrupt transparency channel. Open png in Photoshop, and change the color mode to RGB and save. Update your Illustrator to get rid of this issue.

Looks like this bug, which Adobe claim is solved in 27.0.1 (but has reoccurred before):

What version are you using?
