The polar grid tool is excellent for creating radial diagrams with varying numbers of radial paths. However, if you ungroup the object so that each radial path can be separately edited, you quickly discover the strange feature that each path is given a 0 angle irrespective of the direction it is pointing. This makes it really difficult to edit lines independently (for example shortening or lengthening paths) without losing the angle relative to the other paths. Is there a way of reinstating angles relative to horizontal zero so that the slope of individual paths can be kept on track.
After ungrouping, you may go to the Object menu > Shape > Convert to Shape command.
