On the left in the links panel there is the effective resolution of the image. Using the dialog box on the right you would resample the image.

How did you solve it?

On the left in the links panel is the true resolution of the image which is 300 ppi. On the right side it shows 72 ppi which is the resolution value of the last image.

On the right it shows Rasterize which lets you convert objects (vectors, type, images) to pixels at the resolution you give there.
