Hi all,
I'm running Illustrator CC 2018 on a Mac. I'm working on creating a bunch of graphics based on drawings that all look very similar to one another. I'd like to print out the original drawings with their filenames included so that I know which is which. I assumed I'd do that under Marks and Bleed > Page Information, but that doesn't allow me to print the filename.
Is there some way of doing that automatically, short of typing in the filename myself? I have PDF versions of the original drawings, so if it would work in Acrobat Pro DC, I have that option.
Thanks.
Sue
In the Print Menu, Under "Marks and Bleed", if you check the "Page Information" box it will print the file's title on the printout.
In Acrobat Pro, in the Print Menu, if you click the "Advanced" button and then choose "Marks and Bleed" the same "Page Information" checkbox is available and it does the same thing.
The nice thing about either option is it also prints the date and time the printout was printed.

A script would do it. There may be one out there. I'll look for one.

Ah, thank you pedley_s! I'd had it set to "Do Not Scale" under Print Scaling. When I changed it to "Fit To Page", it printed out with the filename. I was sure there must be something ease like this.
And thanks for checking on a script rcraighead.
