Printer Default

Hello,

   Is there a way to set up  Illustrator CC so that the printer coincides with the mac print settings? At the company I work for, we use a few different printers for different reasons.  I want to be able to set a default printer, and not last used.  I think I am printing 13 pages to a small Letter size printer, and end up printing 13 pages worth of film on an imagesetter.  Is there a way to set it up to default to the small printer, but have each file remember printer settings? The way it worked in Illustrator CS4 was how I need it to work now.  I hope this makes sense to everyone. I am not very good at explaining.
