Printer selection and options not available

Hey there,

I work in a lab in which students can come to lasercut. Some students load their design into adobe illustrator CC, but this causes illustrator to not list any printer that is available. it also makes the options button unclickable. The student that caused such a problem designed it on adobe illustrator cs5. Once that happens, all the other illustrator files that used to work correctly, start to encouter the same problem. The only solution to this is restarting the computer but the problem will occur again once that specific illustrator file is loaded in.

I can not seem to insert a file which causes the problem. How can I fix this problem?
