Printing Illustrator documents

I'm trying to print a document in Illustrator, but I'm getting a message stating "The specified ppd is invalid. The default ppd will be used.  When I click OK, it starts to print.  It goes between 45 - 82 percent, then it freezes and not respond.  How do I know if the specified ppd is invalid and how to fix it?  Thanks.

What kind of printer are you using?

Did you install it correctly?

The program was previously installed and working with no issues. The printer is a Xerox E-C550.

So you did not create your own print preset?


It was set up by IT back in February, I have not changed anything from what was originally set. Our corporation recently did updates to the system and I have had issues since then.
