Problem saving objects with rounded corners

Hello everyone!
My Illustrator started to behave strangely when I try to save objects (a rectangle, in this case) that have rounded corners.
I choose PNG before saving. One can see that the corners are rounded in the outline of the object very clearly, but in every corner there is a also an unwanted "white filling", as if there were two objects, one with the rounded corners in the front, and another rectangle with 90 degree angles, in the back.
Deos anyone know how can I fix this?
Thanks so much in advance.

Did you already try to restart yor computer/Illustrator?
Or reset yor preferences?

Yes, I tried to restart the computer.
I c ould not find the reset button, the way the website described.
There´s something I´d like to try something, though. Can you give me directions on how to change the language
to English? Maybe this will bring back the original settings.

Do you have an old version? Reset Preferences is a button in Preferences > General.
To change language:

I´m using CC 2020 version.
I suspect my problem is that Illustrator is not able to generate a .PNG extention file for some reason.
Is it possible that I have checked out any settings related to this?
In this case, how could I return to the original setting?

Resetting Preferences will get you back to the original settings.

I tried but nothing seems to work.
All the PNG files are coming out without a transparent background.
I even tried to use a website to convert from JPEG to PNG, but the images are
still coming out without a transparent bg.
It´s getting really hard to understand.

Can you share an Illustrator file that has the problem?
CC file sharing, Dropbox, Google, WeTransfer...

If you save a JPEG, it cannot be transparent. If you convert that to a PNG, then what do you think will happen? Transparency won't magically be created by an algorithm.

Thank you for sharing, it works fine here. Export Se;ection, Export As...
With Export Selection you have a choice between png and png 8. Make sure it is not PNG 8.
If it still does not work reset your preferences.

Today I tested Illustrator again and surprisingly, everything is working fine. (no white bg)
Still don´t know what happened but fortunately it´s back to normal.
I reckon it might have been a temporary bug in my computer.
Anyway, thanks for the help and tips!!
Cheers!
