Problem while saving a file from illustrator pdf

Hi,

I am trying to save my .ai file into .pdf. But I am getting an error like this:

I am using the 24.0.1 version of illustrator. Please help me solving this issue.

Exactly where do you save the file?

Illustrator version 24.0.1

System: MacBook Pro, macOS Cataline, Version 10.15.1

I am saving the files in folders on the desktop

So you are saving AI files? Or PDFs? Which options do you select?

When saving an AI file, do you set the option "PDF compatible"?

I am saving in pdf from ai. As in I am doing "Save As PDF" from ai. but the file is coming like this.
