New Here ,
Mar 20, 2020 Mar 20, 2020

I'm having an issue at times when outling a storke where sometime I get strange "splitting" in the path thats created. It has something to do with certain anchors but I'd like to know whats cousung it so I can fix the problem before I outline.

Here is the path with the stroke.

It's a simple stroke?

What is the stroke weight?

Former sheep,

What happens if you start over with the Path with stroke, then Ctrl/Cmd+E, then try oulining the stroke again (Ctrl/Cmd+E toggles between GPU and CPU, you can untoggle if the issue remains)?

This is what GPU is about:

Or, with this exquisite wording by Monika:

Graphics cards are included in the system requirements:

Apart from an inadequate card, issues can be caused by lack of driver updating, lack of proper recognition of the card by the computer, and whatnot (including rifts in the space time, moon, weather, and the fact that Illy sometimes moves in mysterious ways).

I appreceiate the thought, but it's not a preveiwing issue. It's creating these splits where there are certain points. I would simplify them, but the shapes can be very complex at times and I'm trying to figure out where the paths are having issues. This is somthing that occurs generaly when I'm working with outside art that I'm prepairing for a cutting plotter to cut stencils and there hase to be bleed.

Former sheep,

Maybe silly questions, but:

Are you sure those are single Anchor Points, not double (you can count how many there ought to be and compare with the document info)? ouble Anchor Points will cause discrepancies when outlining, though at least normally far less conspicuous.

Is it happening consistently with the same path, whether you try multiple times in the same document or copy to a new document or restart the computer and/or AI?
