Problem with rectangle tool.

Rectangle tool doesn't work on macOs Monterey (M1). When i select an object I can't stretch it.

Your description is a bit vague.

So, just a guess: Does it get better if you make sure that the bounding box is shown (View menu > Show Bounding Box)?
