Problema al escribir en Illustrator

Cuando deseo cambiar de fuente tipográfica al escribir vuelve a ponerse la fuente anterior. EJemplo, escribo "hola mundo" con la fuente Arial, pero ahora quiero cambiar a la fuente Lato, selecciono la fuente y la cambio, hasta ahí todo bien, pero si quiero agregar más texto a esa horación entonces el texto que agregue sale con la fuente arial en vez de la nueva. Entonces queda algo como "Hola mundo texto nuevo".

@Claudia28771651rg7f  For some people turning off Preferences > Type > Enable Missing Glyph Protection has helped.
