problems with svg filter

I was messing with certain effects on a project for school. Even though I cancelled all effects, an Svg effect still kept loading and now it freezes while loading and crashes Illustrator. Has anyone come across this issue?

You don't tell which version of Illustrator you are using.

You don't tell what SVG effects you are or were using.

You don't tell what exactly you mean by "cancelled all effects".

You don't tell if there are any more infos about the SVG effect that "still kept loading".

You don't tell anything about the Document Raster Effect settings you are using (see Effect menu).

And you don't tell what operating system you are using.

Sorry for being a bit rude, but this kind of lack of infos constantly prevents reasonable answers and solutions.

Mac Sonoma, Adobe Illustrator 2022, pressed AI_BevelShadow_1 in SVG Effects

Every time I do something in Illustrator, (change brush size, open a document, anything) Im hit with a long loading screen that says 'SVG Filter effect...' for a very long loading time.

If I press stop, Illustrator closes and when I open it again it says 'Illustrator quit unexpectedly' with a form that would take a bit long.

I cannot reproduce any issues with it.

Are you using it on a complex shape?

Which document color mode is it? SVG is for RGB documents and depending on what kind of functions it uses, that might cause issues.

How much RAM do you have installed?
