Question

"Apply To All" is not the same as "Search for Missing Links in This Folder"

The "Apply To All" check box has come and gone (with many complaints) over the last few years.

It seems Adobe wants to get rid of it.

I totally disagree if that is the intention.

I have been using Adobe Illustrator since it was launched way back in 88.

I can tell you that I use "Apply To All" frequently; I do it on purpose.

It is a very fast way to version creative with a new photo or a new logo.

I simply rename the asset I want to replace by adding a "-" at the end of the name. Then, I open the Illustrator file; when it says that it cannot find the asset, I tell it to use the asset I actually want ot use by clicking on the new asset, then clicking on "Apply To All".

Without the "Apply To All" option, I have to manually click over and over again to replace the asset.

It is slow and annoying.

Please add back the "Apply To All".

I cannot seem to login on that page.

I searched and searched and found many post on this subject; none of them permanently resolved since the issue of the vanishing  "Apply To All" keeps happening.

You need (unfortunately) to set up an account on UserVoice to vote.

It is not solved, but has the attention of the Illustrator team.
