"Click Object To Select" Tutorial Pop Up

New Here ,
Jan 18, 2025 Jan 18, 2025

Just opened Adobe Illustrator to see this pop up thing across the bottom of Illustrator, I dont need it there as I already know how the app works and its blocking space so I'd like to remove it if possible. I've already unchecked the "Show Tool Tips" option in the general part of preferences but that didn't remove the pop up thing I've mentioned above. Is there any other way to remove it?

I've attached a picture of what I'm reffering too below

Try to uncheck Window menu > Help Bar.

Yes, it's a new "assistant" in the latest Illustrator version 29.2.

I don't like it as well, but I'm afraid there is no way to disable it at the moment. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Yes Kurt, there is a bit too much unasked help for my taste lately. Rich Tool Tips, Pop Ups, New Notifications, Contextual Task Bar, and this Help Bar. One more Bar and I'll start drinking.

Personally I do not need most of them in Illustrator.

But I appreciate the help bar in Inkscape, because I'm not using it regularly (and the modifiers are so different) - so I would assume that there are people who like the feature in Illustrator. And while I find that surprising, I know people who like those Rich Tool Tips.

As long as you can turn it off in a consistent way...

Thanks! I kept expecting to find the "solution" under Edit > Preferences.

OMG, thank you!! I thought it was a preference, not a menu item.
