Hello, I am getting this error message (below) and .ai is only displaying 1 of the 3 artboards.
"Illustrator could partially read this file. We recovered as much of the file as possible, but some content might be missing. Open to view the recovered file."
What causes this and a fix? Thank you!
Details: Each of my files is around 110MG. Illustrator(Beta) version 25.4.1 on MacOS  / Big Sur /M1

This problem is a preview problem and is due to a memory definition.
Two important points to know:
1. It may appear in several names when everyone's root is the same problem (memory as mentioned) -It happened to me in several files when in one of the files it appeared in that name mentioned in the question above.
2. It usually reads after uninstalling Illustrator and reinstalling then the settings change.

The solution is very simple.

- Open Illustrator software only.
-Click Edit.
-Click preferences.
- C

The solution from the following thread is to uninstall the current version of Illustrator and install an earlier version:

Hi there,

Sorry about the trouble. I would like to know if the steps suggested above by @Myra Ferguson worked for you?

The documents you have shared most likely are recoverable in Illustrator. This could happen due to the corruption of files or fonts used in it. If you are able to open the file correctly in any earlier versions of Illustrator, as suggested by Myra, please do mention the version. Also, I would request to share a few more details like:

  • The version of Illustrator in which you created these files
  • Where did you save these files (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System/ External HDD)?
  • Is this happening with these three specific documents? If yes, validate the font used in these files to see they are not damaged or corrupted.

Thanks & Regards,

Anshul Saini

The solution is very simple.

- Open Illustrator software only.
-Click Edit.
-Click preferences.
- Click on "plug - in & scratch disks"
- Under scratch disks change from "none" to one of the drives you have on your computer, I marked the same drive that appears in "primary" because I have one drive on my computer.

* I do not know if it matters which drive, in case it does not work you will choose another drive.

- Close Illustrator and try to open the file - for me it solved all the problems in all the files thank God.

Wishing you good luck.
