"Package" greyed out in "Linked file"

I have tried shutting down Illustrator 25.0.1 but "file/package" for a "Linked File" is greyed out.  Can  anybody suggest what might be causing this please? I am running a MacBook Pro 16 inch 2019 with the latest version of BigSlur.

There is an open file in Illustrator, yes?

Did you already save that file?

Thank you so very much.  Saved it as you said and there was my "package".  Thought that it had to be a very simple thing.
