Hi,
I don't know exactly if your advice works but it's fixed now. I would like to let you know and thank you for your help.
I tried running "Safe mode", hopefully, I didn't have to identify what App may cause the issue (I was completely lost in the Activity Monitor)…
I restarted and the keyboard ran ok after that.

I understand that you're facing an issue with the keyboard shortcuts for the "Zoom" and "Hand" tools in Illustrator version 27.8.1.
This might be due to a change in the software or a potential conflict with other applications or settings on your system.
Here are a couple of troubleshooting steps you can try:
To further assist you, I kindly request that you provide the following details:
- Try running your Mac in Safe Mode and checking if the issue persists. Safe Mode performs a series of checks and disables third-party software/services, which can help identify any conflicts or issues caused by other applications. You can try opening Illustrator in Safe Mode and observe if the problem still occurs.
If the problem does not occur in Safe Mode, it indicates that there may be a conflict with another application or background process. In that case, you can use Activity Monitor (Mac) to identify any processes or extensions that might be causing the issue. Once identified, you can try closing, disabling, or uninstalling them to see if it resolves the problem. - Sometimes, preferences can become corrupted and cause issues with keyboard shortcuts. Please try resetting the preferences in Illustrator.
I hope these suggestions help in finding a resolution for the issue you're facing. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Best,
Anshul Saini
