Radical CMYK to RGB color change, unsure of how to convert while preserving colors.

Hi there,

I created artwork for a client in a CMYK color space. I'm needing to take those designs into one of RGB.

When copy/pasting arwork there is a dramatic color shift (CMYK to RGB).

I've tried selecting the artworkin and changing color modes via 'edit colors > convert to' and no luck.

I've also tried taking a screenshot of the artwork in the CMYK color space, dropping it into a CMYK one so that I might eye dropper the colors from there but when the screenshot image is placed into the RBG space the same dramatic color shift happens.

Attached is the original CMYK art, the shifted RGB art, and the color space info.

Help is greatly appreciate!

Amazing, thank you for your help.

Changing the document color mode fixed the issue I was having.

Apologies, Ive never used the community help function before.

The pale images are the RGB, the more vibrant are the CMYK

Edit > Edit colors > Convert to will not help you.

What happens when you do File > Document color mode?

Is there any soft proof turned on?

Which color profile is attached to the doument?

Which of those screenshots is the RGB?

Please embed screenshots in your post, not attach them, so we can compare them better and do not have to click on them to open them.

I'm really glad that you could solve it so easily.

In your color settings you should put the 3 check marks into the boxes. Illustrator will then pop up a lot of warnings, but you will notice when something is wrong with profiles.
