Raiders of the Lost Ark help

Hi,

I'm new to Illustrator and trying to convert a phrase into a Raiders of the Lost Ark Style image as below. I need to angle and create depth and add the drop shadow as well as add the gradient. Any tips or tutorials to help me realise this would be much appreciated. It's for a personal project. Many thanks, Sandra (image below found on google search)

For this you need to use the Appearance panel:

Then in order to create the gradient:

I have mentioned plugins in those videos. You do not need plugins for your task.
